SYNOPIS: When war comes knocking it's like greeting an old acquaintance. Narav depicts the concept of war through his own life experience and his childhood memories of the wars in the Kurdistan region of Iraq under Saddam Hussein's dictatorship. These wars resulted in his understanding of his Kurdish identity and consequently led to his emigration to Sweden as an unaccompanied refugee child. When Daesh invaded a third part of Iraq in 2014, Narav decided to do something for his Kurdish people. The result became a documentary film in which Narav meets a Peshmerga General who, together with his two sons, led the fight in one of the front lines against Daesh in Sinjar. The meeting with the general and his sons develops into a dialogue that depicts the meaning of war in the Kurdish culture and history.
